Guitar modding or tuning
Hi!
This is a new website about modding your guitar, or ‘guitarmodding’ in American English. If you’ve clicked on this page, you probably already have an idea of what this means.
Modding involves adjusting or changing your guitar. You’re not just setting up the instrument, but you’re also physically altering your guitar.
For example, with new pickups or a new tuning mechanism. The goal here is to improve your instrument and make it meet (all of) your preferences.
What is often done is modifying relatively inexpensive guitars such as Squiers. By putting in new components, such a guitar can transform from an ugly duckling with a thin sound into a swan with a fat sound.
This way, you not only have an instrument that is precisely tailored to your own preferences but often also a top-notch guitar for a small price.
Moreover, you have a unique model that can’t be found anywhere else in the world. How cool is that?!
In the coming time, I will write on this site about the various ways you can mod your guitar. Sometimes, this may involve a small investment in parts, but often it costs nothing, for example, when changing the wiring.
I wish you lots of reading and ‘mod’ fun!
